Asphalt Counter flow Drummix Plant

COUNTER-FLOW DRUMMIX PLANT

The Asphalt mixing plant is an asphalt mixture mixing equipment with domestic advanced technology developed on the basis of absorbing and introducing advanced technologies from home and abroad and combining our company’s many years of experience in producing asphalt mixture mixing equipment.

It is suitable for the production of ordinary asphalt mixture, modified asphalt mixture, and colored asphalt mixture. It is a necessary equipment for the construction of expressways, grade roads, municipal roads, airports, and ports.

Asphalt Counter Flow Drummix Plant

In the Asphalt Counter Flow Drum mix plant, Weight the virgin Aggregates individually from the cold feed bins gate, with variable, continuous and automatic speed of the belt in the proportion indicated by the control systems. The aggregates that have been weighed are transferred to the dryer by a charging conveyor. The aggregates dryer is the main component in the process.

Here, the moisture in the combined aggregates is removed as the material is heated from ambient temperature to the desired mixing temperature as required in the dryer process is done to remove the water & moisture from the aggregates to reach the correct mixing temperature. The flow of aggregates is anticlockwise to the flow of hot gases coming from the flame of the burner.

This is the main typical process known as counter flow plant with separate pug mill.Once they are dry and heated, the aggregates go on to the external pug mill and, simultaneously, the bitumen pumping unit pumps bitumen directly into the pug mill on top of the dry and hot aggregates. The mixed material is propelled towards the discharge and a dam gate is provided at the discharge.

The asphalt plant is mainly composed of a batching system, drying system, hot material lifting, screening, storage, weighing system, mixing system, thermal oil heating and asphalt supply system, dust removal system, powder supply and dust recovery system, gas circuit control system, finished product silo, electrical control system and central control room.

TECHINICAL SPECIFICATION

Description

Asphalt Counter Flow Drum mix Plant aggregate and superheated air move in opposite directions. Aggregate enters on the feed-entry end of the drum and travels toward the burner as it’s dried. At the burner nose, the dried material passes behind an isolation ring where liquid asphalt.

All materials are mixed in the final drum section, and then are discharged and conveyed to the storage silo. Counterflow technology is productive, efficient and environmentally friendly.

BENEFITS

  • Fuel savings through counterflow technology
  • Efficient Material Flow
  • Use of RAP
  • Enhanced Durability
  • Operational Flexibility
  • Reduced bitumen aging
  • High quality mix
  • Optional bag filter and pre-separator which is environment-friendly
  • The plant can operate continuously, making it suitable for large-scale projects
  • The efficient dust collection system minimizes the release of pollutants.

How It Works

Direction of burner flame and aggregates is opposite. This counter flow type heating ensures better heating of aggregates at less fuel consumption.

Drying & mixing process takes place in separate drum. Dust is absorbed at the inlet of drying drum thus allowing clean & dust free aggregates to enter the mixing drum ensuring better mix quality.
